What you actually do

  • Maintain the chemical inventory and MSDS set, and screen purchases against the restricted substances list.
  • Collect water, energy and effluent data and report it in the buyer's platform.
  • Prepare ZDHC, Higg, GOTS/GRS and buyer-specific audits and close findings.
  • Trace fibre and fabric origin through transaction certificates.
  • Train dye house and store teams on safe handling and documentation.

How to get in — the realistic route

  2. 2. Start in a dye house, ETP or lab so your data instincts are real.
  3. 3. Apply as Compliance / Sustainability Officer in vertically integrated groups — they own the wet processing.
