Works in: Mill, lab and factory fabric store
What you actually do
- Read and judge test reports: shrinkage, colour fastness, pilling, strength, GSM.
- Run inspection of incoming fabric rolls (4-point system) and release or reject lots.
- Set shrinkage and skew allowances for pattern and cutting.
- Investigate fabric-related claims with the mill and hold them to the standard.

Qualification & experience
Textile engineering or technology degree, or lab experience in a mill.
