What you actually do
- Allocate operators to operations and cover absence without losing balance.
- Keep feeding, trims and bundles ahead of the line so machines never idle.
- Stop the line on a repeating defect and get the root cause fixed at the operation.
- Update the hourly board and escalate off-standard time immediately.
- Train new operators on the critical operations of the running style.

Qualification & experience
Apparel diploma, or promotion from a skilled operator role. Sewing-floor experience matters more than certificates here.
How to get in — the realistic route
- 1. Learn the defect set cold — most supervisor interviews are practical defect and balancing questions.
- 2. Ask for a line-attachment during any internship rather than an office desk.
- 3. Apply as Supervisor Trainee; groups running dozens of lines recruit these continuously.
